Scope of Services:
A Phase I Assessment is completed to identify recognized environmental conditions or the presence or likely presence of any hazardous substances or petroleum products on a property under the conditions that indicate an existing release, a past release or a material threat of any hazardous substances or petroleum products into structures on the property or into the ground, ground water or surface water on the property.
- Site reconnaissance of the subject site: our purpose at this stage is to identify potential sources or indications of chemical contamination through visual observation.
- Historical information is reviewed to identify previous owners/occupants who possibly used, generated, stored, treated or disposed of chemicals or hazardous materials on-site.
- Historical aerial photographs are also evaluated.
- Environmental questionnaire, completed by the owner regarding the past and present environmental conditions on-site are analyzed.
- Regulatory records are reviewed to identify use, generation, storage, treatment or disposal of hazardous materials, or release of such materials, which may impact the site.
- Topographic maps are reviewed to determine geology and topography in the vicinity of the site.
